On 3 December 2010 the town holds its annual Victorian Christmas Evening  – a sort of rural late night shopping with all the Christmas lights on show, stallholders in Victorian costume, and a great selection of local produce and crafts, carol singing!. The old tree in the river serves as a focal point. Runs from 6pm to 9pm!

All our cows are Friesian and feed on grass and forage grown exclusively and organically for them at Kirkham Farm… every morning the milk travels the five metres to the creamery where our other girls work hard at turning it into great tasting cheese.

The collection neatly represents a slice of motoring history from the 20th Century. The big showstoppers are, of course, the 31 cars, the caravans, the motorcycles, the dozens of bicycles, but what will really take your breath away is the huge amount of related material. It is the showcases packed with motoring paraphernalia, the old garage equipment, the walls filled with enamel signs, the petrol pumps and globes, everything connected with motoring from branded hat pins to an AA box. Around these objects we weave stories, history, facts and feelings to create a Museum where we hope the past will inspire future generations.
